Restoring Your Kitchen After a Major Leak

Restoring Your Kitchen After a Major Leak

Kitchens are prime locations for water damage due to the concentration of plumbing and water-bearing appliances. A slow leak behind a dishwasher can cause extensive rot before it's ever noticed.

    Saving the Cabinets

Custom cabinetry is expensive. If caught early, water-damaged cabinets can sometimes be saved using specialized drying mats that force warm, dry air into the toe-kicks and wall cavities. However, if the MDF or particleboard has already swelled, replacement is usually necessary.

    Flooring Concerns

Water trapped under laminate or hardwood flooring will quickly cause cupping and warping. We use specialized floor drying systems to extract water from beneath the floorboards, often saving the floor if we are called in time.
